Properties
Cast, self levelling cement mortar for leveling of floors, for thickness between 3 to 30mm, fast setting and curing that prevents cracking from shrinkage. It is characterized by high mechanical resistance to abrasion, compression and impact, as well as strong adhesion to all mineral substrates and excellent viscosity, workability and easy pumping.
The product is classified, according to EN 13813, as CT: C50-F15-AR2.
Application
DUROSTICK D-64 is ideal for quick levelling of floors up to 30mm from concrete, cement screed or old mosaics intended for cladding with bonded marble, tiles, plastic floors, carpet, parquet etc.
It is the ideal solution for preparing substrates intended to withstand severe loads and high traffic as well as floors incorporating underfloor heating (a condition is to preserve the construction joints of the substrate).
DUROSTICK D-64 provides a smooth final surface with friction - resistant properties, thus being the ideal choice for constructing new indoor floors at shopping malls, super markets, stores, exhibition centres as well as for final cladding of basements, lofts etc.
Spreading of the top surface of D-64, 48 hours following application using the cement based sealing mortar HYDROSTOP FLOOR by DUROSTICK, ensures increased waterproofing protection on cement mortar and makes the product ideal for use on exterior surfaces as well.
Instructions
1. Surface preparation
The substrate shall be free from dirt, oil or loose residues. Brittle or severely porous substrates shall be stabilized and their absorption reduced using AQUAFIX acrylic micromolar primer by DUROSTICK of with D-20 acrylic emulsion by DUROSTICK, thinned with water at a ratio of 1:1. Then the material is poured while the emulsion is still wet.
2. Application
Empty D-64 by DUROSTICK in clean water at a mixing ratio of 25 kg per 5.5 lt water stirring with power drill at low rpm until a homogenous, lump-free mass is obtained. For increased quantities, suitable stirring tools are used. Allow the mix to cure for 1-2 minutes and then repeat stirring. Spread the material starting from a corner of the floor, using a large rubber grouting squeegee (Τ) on pole, to assist the material spread on the floor at an equally thick spread.
Release of possible air bubbles shall be achieved using a hard road sweeping brush or by spreading with spiked roller.
